On behalf of the Alloway Creek Elementary School team we would like to thank our custodial staff for the outstanding job they do everyday! Currently the crew is deep into the summer cleaning as they prepare the building for the upcoming school year. It’s a physically demanding job but the ACES crew makes it a positive working environment for all. The collaboration this summer between high school custodians and the elementary school team has been awesome to see! Part of their summer is filled with going to staff training where they learn new strategies to help support the school. They also get to meet and collaborate with other custodians from other school districts to discuss success stories and areas to improve in their field. Their involvement goes well beyond the cleaning of classrooms as they help to judge for the FBLA speech team and support pre-K and ESY programs to name a few in their downtime. This opportunity has allowed the team to accomplish more goals, rekindle friendships and create a clean and refreshing environment for students and staff to return to. The summer has always been a time of reflection for custodians as each room holds special memories connected to students and teachers.
