Did you know that the state of Pennsylvania requires bus evacuations be performed twice a school year? The main reason is to help instruct students on how to exit the bus safely in an emergency. In addition, our goal is to help prepare students for life threatening situations such as fires, traffic accidents, and health emergencies.
Through bus evacuation drills, we help teach students how to:
- remain calm during emergencies
- activate emergency exits
- evacuate in an organized manner
- help younger/disabled students
If you have questions about how our bus evacuations help prepare your student, please feel free to reach out to the Transportation Dept.
