Recently students from Mr. Capik's advanced Photography and Graphic Arts courses were given the opportunity to create designs to support suicide awareness in a state-wide contest. Mr. Capik has worked to incorporate real life messaging in his teachings and approached the contest as though it was a real world job for his students.
In the end, his students created 5 final projects. Since they could only submit 3 to the contest, he used the high school teachers help narrow it down. The organizers of the contest announced that ALL 3 submissions were finalists!
When the final results came out, Littlestown students took 2nd place and tied each other for 4th! Students were invited to a Philadelphia Phillies baseball game on April 4, 2025 to celebrate their hard work on such an important initiative. One of our students even had the opportunity to throw out the first pitch!
