Littlestown Athletics Recognizes PIAA Officials Appreciation Week. Thank You Officials!

Sara Powell, Mental Health Therapist K-12, is our April Staff Spotlight! Sara started at LASD in 2021 as part of our LEVEL UP CLINIC. She spends one-on-one time with students focusing on skill building using dialectical behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy which focuses on first learning skills to help manage emotions, behaviors, relationships, and ways we think to feel better. Over the two years at LASD, Sara has served approximately 75 students with 26 students discharged who have completed their goals and are doing better. Most of the students that Sara sees are students with depression, anxiety, and suicidality. Sara sees students as much as possible according to severity and need. Her caseload is an average of 45 students per week.
Sara has been an extraordinary addition to our district to serve our struggling students!
