The Littlestown Area School District (LASD) Board of Director’s search for the next superintendent of schools is underway! The Board of School Directors approved a contract with DiRocco Education Consulting LLC: Keystone Superintendent Search Service to conduct a confidential search for the next superintendent. The District’s website provides information about the search process.
Integral to the process of identifying the next superintendent is the necessity of confidentiality. To attract a wide field of experienced candidates, only the Board of Directors and the search consultants are privy to information about the applicants.
The way in which the community and staff were engaged was through the use of a survey. The Board of Directors greatly appreciated the input of those who completed it. Attached is a copy of the Survey Summary.
This information was integrated into the “Littlestown Area School District and Superintendent Profile” which the consultants are using to recruit and advertise for the superintendent position and to identify interview questions customized to the District’s strengths and needs.
In addition to the survey results, the Littlestown School District “Profile of the School District and Superintendent” document is available on our website. Those interested in applying for the position of Superintendent must follow the directions provided in the document, by completing and submitting an application and all required supporting documents by the May 1 deadline.
