🫑 🥦 ⏲️ The LHS Gourmet Foods class cooked up some casseroles last week. Among the favorites: Pepperoni Pizza, French Toast, Sausage McGriddle, Smores & Chicken Alfredo Pizza casseroles.

🍚 ⏲️ 👨‍🍳 On Friday the LHS Unique Culinary class cooked up some Extra Cheesy Baked Mac n Cheese. Looks like another successful lesson on "Grains".

🥘 ⏲️ 🇪🇸The LHS Spanish Honors Society cooked together after school on Friday. Students made Arroz con leche, Tostones (fried plantains), a drink called Morir Soñando & a Tres Leches cake. The Spanish exchange students helped a group make two Spanish tortillas! Muy divertido!

Today, Monday, February 23, 2026, all students and teachers will operate on a Virtual Learning Day. Littlestown Area School District offices will be closed with staff following remote work expectations.

💙 💛 🚌 Today LHS students had the opportunity to attend HACC Harrisburg's Engineering Career Day. Students participated in two hands-on learning sessions and also heard about all kinds of careers in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical & Chemical Engineering. Thank you to Mrs. Lyon for chaperoning the trip!

🍳⏲️ 🌯 The LHS Unique Culinary class is back in the kitchen. Today they were working with Eggs. On the menu: were Omelettes and Breakfast Burritos. Looks like everyone was having fun with this lesson!

❤️ 👨‍🍳 ⏲️ LHS Holiday Treats Week ended with a big YUM! The Gourmet classes made Strawberry Brownie Cheesecake Parfaits, dipped strawberries in chocolate, and decorated brownies. The Unique classes enjoyed heart shaped donuts filled with whipped icing & topped with chocolate.

💙 💛 ⚡️ Today as we celebrate National School Resource Officer Day, LHS wants to recognize our SRO Mr. Lorenz. Mr. Lorenz ensures our school community remains safe & secure and works hard to make connections with our students & staff. Thank you Mr. Lorenz!

🍓 👨‍🍳 ⏲️ The LHS Unique Culinary class was busy making holiday treats. Today they diced strawberries, made cheesecake filling, and had their first experience with the food processor crushing graham crackers. "Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait Cups" were a huge success and tasted oh so yummy!!!

🐄 🍼 💙 Thank you Mr. Lorenz (LASD School Resource Officer) for taking a few minutes out of your busy day to help feed the LHS FFA calf!

❤️ 🧁⏲️ NEWS FROM THE LHS CULINARY KITCHENS: Gourmet Foods made different kinds of sugar cookies and Unique Culinary made Strawberry & Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies. The next day Gourmet students baked cakes & Unique Culinary decorated heart shaped cakes & Rice Krispie lollipops.
