A huge THANK YOU to T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights for joining us at our football game last night. The #FN5GL program supports small towns by giving high schools a chance to showcase their spirit and earn money to fuel school pride, performance, and possibility.

LHS Plant Science classes organized and taught 7 different lessons about corn and how it is produced to the Alloway Creek Elementary School. Lessons included the story of Kerby corn to the kindergarten classes, corn products, corn biology, corn trivia, corn math, corn diseases, corn types, and corn growing equipment. Students were trying to meet their 15 minute presentation requirement for the FFA to receive their Chapter Degree.
Students and staff in all 3 buildings were also served an ear of sweet corn for free with their lunch. The corn was grown in our very own student grown corn field.
A BIG shout out to Rebecca Lee and Sam from Growmark F.S. East Berlin for bringing in a Fendt sprayer with 90 foot booms, Matt Kehr-Channel Seed for bringing in the John Deere 4455 with the 8 row corn planter, and Nathan Grove- Flicker Hill Farm for bringing in the John Deere combine with the 8 row corn head. The equipment seemed to be a big hit for the students.
