Congratulations to Deb Simon, our November Staff Spotlight! Deb was recognized by Dr. Carolyn Fiascki at last night's board meeting. Deb is the Title I Teaching Assistant and has been with the District for almost 25 years. She will be retiring this December 2022. She has grown over the 25 years by attending workshops, in-house trainings, various instructional intervention courses, and observing and learning from many inspiring teachers over the years. She supports students in Kindergarten through 3rd Grade. Deb says "the reward continues to be the look of accomplishment on a young child's face when they master a skill they have been struggling with and then they realize they are growing as a reader." She has had a wonderful journey at LASD and considers her co-workers family which was apparent as many elementary teachers came to the board meeting to recognize her and wish her well! After retirement, Deb plans to spend more time with her granddaughter.

Thursday, November 10, 2022, Littlestown High School will celebrate and honor local veterans and their guests. The celebration begins at 8:45 am, and special guests are invited to arrive at 8:30 am for light snacks and refreshments.
