Transportation Notice for Parents/Guardians of Rising 5th Grade Students:
Please look for a letter and new transportation form from the LASD Transportation Office in your mail, for those students who will be the new 6th Graders at Maple Avenue Middle School for the 2024-25 school year (Class of 2031). Please return the transportation form for your student(s) by the due date of July 25th, to ensure transportation for the new school year.

The Littlestown Area School Board has approved Dr. Timothy Mitzel and Dr. Judith Berryman to lead the school district for the next five years. Both contracts begin on October 1.
This announcement comes after a thorough four-month superintendent search process conducted by Keystone Superintendent Search Service lead by Mark D. DiRocco, Ph.D. and Connie R. Kindler, M.Ed. The search involved securing a strong pool of candidates who would align with the priorities and beliefs of the district and be able to have a smooth transition into the new role. The Superintendent search began in early 2024 by collecting stakeholder information via a survey. From the applicants, the board the identified candidates to interview and the process yielded three finalists with Dr. Mitzel being selected as the Superintendent. The first order of business for the new LASD leadership team will be to select a High School Principal to replace Dr. Berryman. That process will begin immediately. The Littlestown High School is temporary closed for the summer due to construction. The high school office and athletic office has relocated to Maple Avenue Middle School until further notice. Please enter at Door #5 near MAMS gym entrance there is a doorbell on the left. Summer office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-3:30PM.
